Stichting IWAS-Games

A foundation has been raised to organize the European Open and in the future maybe other similar events. The foundation has the name ‘Stichting IWAS Games’.
Another great organization lies in the name of this foundation: IWAS. IWAS is the abbreviation for International Wheelchair & Amputee Sports Federation and this is the international organization for athletes with a handicap. All over the world competitions are organized in the name of IWAS and the European Open is one of them. For more information about IWAS, see www.iwasf.com.
The foundation consists of a board with four members. Rolf is the chairman of Stichting IWAS Games and leads the foundation. Next to Rolf, Ben Vroom is in the foundation as vice-chairman and he is also the competition director of the European Open. Roelof Jacobs (treasurer) and Marijke Prins (secretary) complete the board.
During the preparation of the event, the board is supported by a performing organization. For example, the competition secretary, the competition organization, the transport and the stay are organized by them. This organization consist for a part of volunteers who show willingness for the foundation.
